An ok performance. At times the link up play was a joy to watch but end product is lacking a bit. Both goals had a bit of fortune but came when we pressured Atalanta a bit. Benrahma looks stronger and better for it in pre-season. He might well be the Lingard replacement depending on how consistent he can be and whether he can chip in with goals.
Lost our shape a bit with all the subs but made sense to get others on the pitch and not risk any stupid injuries. Anyone know where Lanzini was?

We rarely went beyond 2nd gear and beat a decent side. Everyone did well. Diop was a bit dodgy at first, but seemed to wake up and assert himself after half an hour.
Benrahma was deserved motm, great little performance and I feel he has a lot more to offer. And I agree that Coventry looked very capable during his half hour.
Bring on the geordies!

I like how we are looking ready for the new season, but I will not judge how the squad looks until we have played a couple of proper games where actual points are at stake........bit of an overstatement about todays performance for me....it was a friendly and Atalanta treated it as so.

Goog game against a proper opposition.
Benrahma MotM. Coventry did well and had several good passes forward.
Diop looked clumsy early on but was better later in the match.
Agree with another poster here, need a CD and one or two strikers

Having Yarmo as our only backup for attacking positions isn't good enough for a team competing in 1 competition let alone 4. Surely we'll bring at least 1 attacking mid as well as a striker

We’ve played some good stuff in pre-season. Decent football, nice passing and movement and a good level of fitness. It genuinely looks like we now train with a purpose.

I was impressed today. A decent performance against a good side, if the dwarf don't continues to fuck Moyes about - i'd be happy with young Coventry as back up. We definitely need at the bare minimum, another Striker and a Centre Back. the ball is in the vertically challenged cunt's court
